Andrie has more than 25 years experience as an aviation professional.  She started her career in Cyprus Airways, in Flight Operations department with enthusiasm and motivation. She joined Fleet and Crew planning supporting daily operations and progressed to Crew Training Planning and Support.  She expanded her aviation knowledge by Training in Safety and Compliance Management. 

Gathering all previous experience in Operations and Training along with her interpersonal relationships, Andrie joined forces with the rest of the team and created CA Aviation Management and Crew Academy.

CEO of CA Aviation Management Services Ltd

Christos has a presence in the aviation industry for more than 30 years. He was the Compliance Manager Operations for Cyprus Airways progressing from being a Cabin Crew and Safety Training Instructor. He was in charge of Safety Training for more than 12 years. He earned his Master’s degree In Air Transport Management at the City University in London. He is an active IOSA Lead Auditor, Evaluator and Trainer. Through his auditing activities he has audited more than 100 airlines all over the world.

Gathering all this knowledge and experience he created CA Aviation Management and Crew Academy taking on board a team of aviation professionals.

AKIS PHILIPPIDES | Training Manager

Akis is a graduated of Athens University, in English Literature and Greek Philosophy.  He joined Cyprus Airways in 1980 as Cabin Crew member and succeeded in Cabin Crew Training in Emergency and Survival as well as Interpersonal Service skills.  Through his professional career he attended numerous Trainings and Seminars at Airbus and Boing Industries.  With the creation of Eurocypria Airlines he was appointed as Cabin Crew Manager a position he held for 16 years.

Akis sharing his knowledge and retrieving his experience in the Aviation, joined the rest of the team as  Training Manager at CA Aviation Crew Academy.

DEMETRA TAFOUNA | SEP and Aviation First Aid Instructor

Demetra studied Computer Science and she is a holder of EFR, Emergency First Response Instructor Certificate. Currently she is studying for a BBA (Batchelor in Business Administration) at CIIM.

Her Aviation experience has commenced after joining Cyprus Airways in 1991, at the beginning as Cabin Crew, later as Senior Cabin Crew Member.  Demetra became an SEP Instructor with Crew Academy and joined the rest of the team as an Aviation First Aid Instructor and SEP Trainer.


Vassos Lappa has a 25-year experience in aviation, 8 of which as an Instructor/Facilitator for pilots and cabin crew on Crew Resource Management, Safety and Emergency Procedures, Security and First Aid. He is  an SEP, SEC, FA and CRM Trainer at Crew Academy .

Vassos’s experience combined with his academic qualifications, being a holder of a Master’s degree in “Continuous Education and Lifelong Learning”, has enabled him to become a very competent and capable Instructor/Facilitator. He is also a HRDA (Development Authority of Cyprus Human Resources) certified trainer in accordance with the Vocational Qualifications System AxioPistoSyn.

GEORGE KARASHIALIS | Aviation Security Instructor

George started in aviation 30 years ago in Operations Control and then progressed as the Security Manager of Cyprus Airways and at the same time he was an active Compliance and Security Lead auditor for the airline.

George is also an active IOSA/ISAGO and IDQP auditor. He holds an MSc Air Transport Management and an ECAC/EASTI Aviation Security Managers certificate. He is a member of the team as the Head of Security Training.

VERA GREGORA | SEP and Health and Safety Instructor

Vera studied Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management and she is a holder of Nebosh International Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Her Aviation experience has commenced after joining Cyprus Airways in 1990, at the beginning as Cabin Crew, later as Senior Cabin Crew Member. Currently, Vera became  an SEP Instructor  with Crew Academy and joined the rest of the team.

She is a member of the Flight Safety Foundation Mediterranean and a member of the Cyprus Health & Safety Association. She is also a Health & Safety professional.

RENOS MICHAELIDES | SEP and Aviation First Aid Instructor

Renos started his aviation career by joining Eurocypria Airlines in 1992 as cabin Crew and then he  was upgraded to Senior Cabin Crew. 

Renos became an SEP Instructor for the Boeing 737, and he is also an Aviation First Aid Instructor.  He is currently on our team as an SEP instructor and as one of our B-737 experts.

ANDREAS SOPHOCLEOUS | Dangerous Goods Instructor

Andreas has a Master of Science in Air Transport Management, by The City University of London. He started working in the Aviation Industry in 1993, in the Cargo operations department of Cyprus Airways. In 1996 obtained the “IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Category 6” Certificate and started handling Dangerous Goods shipments for Cyprus Airways. 

Andreas conducted various inspections on behalf of IATA for local agents and in 2001 obtained the “Professional Skills for DGR Instructors” Certificate by IATA. In 2006, he becomes a “Dangerous goods” trainer for all Airline employees (Flight crew, Cabin crew, Load Planners, Passenger handling personnel), Ramp and Warehouse personnel and Cargo agents.

NICOS IERODIKONOU | Dangerous Goods Instructor

Nicos worked in Cyprus Airways Cargo and Mail department for 30 years.  Through his career he earned the “IATA Dangerous Goods Category 6 “Certificate which gave him the right to handle Dangerous Goods shipments for the Company. In 2009 he acquired the diploma of Professional Skills for Dangerous Goods instructors and started his Training activities.

Nicos  is one of the Dangerous Goods Instructor of the Crew Academy and delivers training in Dangerous Goods Regulations for all categories and as well as for Cargo Introductory and for Live animals regulations and Perishables.


​Marios has more than 27 years of experience in the Aviation Industry. He joined Cyprus Airways in 1992 as a Cabin Crew Member and then joined Tus Airways as a Senior Cabin Crew Member. Marios, sharing his management knowledge, leadership skills and extensive experience in aviation, joined the rest of the team at C.A. Crew Academy as an ESET, Aviation FA, AVSEC and CRM Instructor. He holds a BBA degree (bachelor’s in business administration) from CIIM.
